My name is Dr. Michael Shnayder, and I am a board
certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. In 2008 I joined Midwest
OMS group practice after completing a residency program in
oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). I am licensed to
practice both medicine and dentistry. My training began at the University
of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1995 and commenced in 2003. While at UCLA I earned
a Bachelor of Sciences (BS) in Biochemistry and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery
(DDS). My Medical Degree (MD) is from University of Nebraska College
of Medicine and my training in oral and maxillofacial surgery was completed
at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
I became board certified by the American Assocation
of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2010. Current professional
society memberships include American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College
of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Nebraska Society of Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental
Association, the Omaha District Dental Society, and the Maimonides Society. Presently my
hospital privileges are at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Boystown
National Research Hospital, Bergan Mercy Medical Center, Lakeside Hospital,
Methodist Hospital, Children's Hospital and Bergan Surgery
Center.
My family immigrated from Russia in 1991, however, I
continue to be fluent in
the Russian language and stay
active in the community. I am married and have four children.
